Consulta mvn verify en el tpi FileSystem

Buenas noches, tengo un problema cuando hago el mvn verify, me dice que hay code smell en el método:
public byte[] getBytes() {
return bytes;
}
code smell: May expose internal representation by returning reference to mutable object
Returning a reference to a mutable object value stored in one of the object's fields exposes the internal representation of the object.  If instances are accessed by untrusted code, and unchecked changes to the mutable object would compromise security or other important properties, you will need to do something different. Returning a new copy of the object is better approach in many situations.

El problema es que si trato de crear una copia de los bytes me salta error checkstyle violation, porque solamente estoy haciendo una copia que la returneo, no sirve para nada más. Entonces no sé como solucionar el code smell usando la posible solución de hacer una copia si cuando la hago me dice error de código redundante.

Si alguien más tiene este error aviso que sí se puede hacer una variable local solamente para no mandar directamente el mutable.
