Institution Name(0008,0080) tag is not getting in study on uploading using MWL UI of DCM4CHEE

Describe the bug
When uploading a study using the MWL feature in the UI, the Institution Name tag is present in the MWL entry, but it is not being reflected in the study data(or tag)

To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:

1. Create a MWL enty which contain institution name in tag as well
2. Click on three dot of entry and select upload option
3. Upload the dicom file
4. Go to Study page
5. Click on hamburger of study uploaded there is no Institution Name present

Expected behavior
The tag Institution name should be present in study.

To get MWL attributes on study / series, create an Archive Attribute Coercion with Attribute Coercion URI as merge-mwl:${jboss.server.temp.url}/dcm4chee-arc/mwl2series.xsl. Add :

• DIMSE as C_STORE_RQ
• DICOM Transfer Role as SCU
• any Condition(s) as required
• set Other Coercion Parameters(s) as match-by=AccessionNumber (Ensure you add AccessionNumber on uploading the bulkdata file that should match with the AccessionNumber of MWL)

Thanks for your reply!
I followed the Steps like this -:
I am running unsecured version of dcm4chee on my local using docker compose file of version 5.30.0

1. I copied the file mwl2series.xsl in my C drive and put Instittution name tag in it

Add commentMore actions

      <xsl:copy-of select="DicomAttribute[@tag='00080080']"/>

2. Put this file back to dcm4chee-arc-1:/opt/wildfly/standalone/tmp/dcm4chee-arc/mwl2series.xsl using command
   docker cp C:\mwl2series.xsl dcm4chee-arc-1:/opt/wildfly/standalone/tmp/dcm4chee-arc/mwl2series.xsl

3. Done the configuration as shown in image(I have selected Attribute Coersion (New) not Legacy)

4. Then i restarted the archieve using docker restart dcm4chee-arc-1 and i also refreshed the application from Control Section of Configuration.

5. Created a MWL from Patient UI of dcm4chee with institution name and accession number both present in it as shown i image

6. Now i have checked the study tags on all levels (Patient , Study, Series and Instance) as shown in image

At the instance level i am getting the key Institution Name but it is blank there as well.

Can you please let me know is there something i am missing or doing wrong , My only goal is to get Institution name tag in study (on any level Patient or Study or Series or Instance) when i am uploading file from MWL( the value of Institution NAme should go in Study just like some other Tags Patient NAme, Issuer of Patient ID etc.)

Institution Name is supported by default in the stylesheet since version 5.31.0 and is always present on SERIES level in a DICOM composite object

Steps to simulate :

• Create Patient / MWL with Institution Name
• Create merge from mwl coercion

  Attribute Coercion URI : merge-mwl:${jboss.server.temp.url}/dcm4chee-arc/mwl2series.xsl
  DIMSE : C_STOER_RQ
  DICOM Transfer Role : SCU
  Other Coercion Parameters : match-by=AccessionNumber
  

• Upload bulkdata file on MWL level

I think your updated stylesheet does not take effect.

Thanks, Vrinda — it solved my issue!

However, I encountered another issue while trying to run the unsecured version of dcm4chee. When using version 5.31.0 or above, and following the Docker setup provided in the official guide, I noticed that:

Accessing the UI on port 8080 automatically redirects to the secured (HTTPS) version on port 8443

But the login page doesn’t load

Even after attempting to disable security by removing some mapper lines in standalone.xml, the redirect still happens. As a result, I'm unable to successfully run the application in an unsecured mode on my local environment.

I do not see any issues in running a unsecured archive setup and accessing UI over HTTP port

If you're running an unsecured archive setup using docker, I don't understand why you're expecting a login page
