Prevent x axis ticks repeating?

How can make the x axis ticks only show under the series data, so that the ticks does not repeat?

I would have expected plotly to use a reasonable amount of ticks.
Here's a trick for you to try:

layout:
  xaxis:
    nticks: $ex Math.ceil((+get("visible_range")[1] - get("visible_range")[0]) / 1000 / 60 / 60 / 24)

What happens when y scroll?
If the problem is zooming, you could do the same trick but use the span of the entity data.
And maybe you get lucky googling "how to have one tick per week day in plotly"

dtick may also allow you to force plotly to have one tick per day
