Is there also a IRC support option? As separate channel or in #zig?
I'm not really a fan of Discord for a open source / community project to be honest. It sucks privacy.
To make IRC easier accessible for people, some projects offer a weblink to the channel.

Most channels are on libera.Chat these days, like #zig is too.

Hexchat is the default application for some Linux distros these days I think. https://hexchat.github.io/
