Grouping images sometimes joins the grouped images into the previously edited image group

Describe the bug

Sometimes, when creating several image groups one after another, the last created group is joined into the previously created group.

Steps to reproduce

1. Open a collection of ungrouped images in lighttable.
2. Disable image grouping in the top panel.
3. Select some images.
4. Group the selected images by clicking the “group” button in the actions on selection module, or by pressing Ctrl+G (see image grouping).
5. Change the group leader to edit the newly created group.
6. Select some other ungrouped images.
7. Group the selected images in the same way as in step 4.

Now the images selected in step 3 and the images selected in step 6 are all joined into the same image group.

This bug does not occur if step 5 is omitted.

Expected behavior

The images selected in step 6 should be in a different group than the images selected in step 3.

This issue seems to be related to #17306.

Is it possible that you were hovered over a different image or group than the images you were trying to group? That's one possible explanation for the behavior.

I tried four ways to group images in step 7:

1. Hover over one of the selected images and press Ctrl+G
2. Hover over a different ungrouped image and press Ctrl+G
3. Hover over a different group and press Ctrl+G
4. Click the “group” button in the actions on selection module (no hovered image)

The described behavior is always the same. The images selected in step 3 and the images selected in step 6 are all joined into the same image group.

@codecrusher64 can you explain step 5? How are you changing the group leader? What does edit the group mean?

How are you selecting images in step 6? What does the selected images count (above the thumbnails) say?

Do you have any Lua scripts running?
