Questions on getting started

Hello, I was assigned to work on this open source project "Filter failed runs that never succeeded on re-execution (#29596)" with a partner. I was wondering if i did the set up correctly to try to emulate the scenario. I have followed these two tutorials https://docs.dagster.io/about/contributing and https://docs.dagster.io/getting-started/quickstart . I was also wondering if there was a person who I could contact as well for questions regarding the issue such as on discord or slack?
