@jhalbrecht, I have a self-hosted n8n and self-hosted n8n MCP server on my remote private server. If you want to achive the same, go get your compute instance in a cloud, deploy n8n there, then deploy n8n MCP server as well. First two steps are slightly out of topic for this repository. To know how to deploy n8n MCP on a remote server, read here: HTTP_DEPLOYMENT. The document tries to cover a lot of different topics, so it may be hard to use as a how-to guide... Just cherry-pick parts about "Remote Server", Docker Deployment, Production Deployment, Security Setup, Monitoring & Maintenance. Otherwise, if you simply want to connect VS code to n8n MCP server running locally on your machine, you don't need cloud.

"Hello there! 👋 I've tried using Continue, but it seems like there might be an issue with the request body. 🤔 I can connect to the server (using OpenRouter's API key), but the server keeps rejecting my request. I attempted this by modifying the .env file + Cloudflare tunneling + tweaking Continue's config file. ️ If you've successfully deployed this, please share your experience—it would be a huge help for a broke student like me! 🙏✨" |

Has anyone been able to use n8n-mcp with vscode and continue?
I read the issue Provide instructions for install in Claude Code, Cursor & Windsurf #28 although I'm pretty new to mcp it looks like I might be able to use n8n-mcp with vscode and continue. @naXa777 has some instructions in that issue. I'd like to learn more about Step 2 "Assuming you've already deployed the n8n MCP server and ..." Can someone point me to some resources to learn more about accomplishing Step 2?
