I think you have a bad version of make.

You'll either have to fix make or compile it manually like this:

Launch it with these arguments:
--compile --continue --source-dir <crown.git>/samples/01-physics --map-source-dir core <crown.git>/samples

<crown.git> must be an absolute path to crown sources dir.

We only generate VS projects for the runtime. The editor can only be compiled/run with VS Code or manually via make.
