Error in UseMethod("panelNNET")

Hi,

I am trying to use your library in a project related to crop yield forecasting.

However, I am having trouble running the code. I have been following the example code as per https://rdrr.io/github/cranedroesch/panelNNET/man/panelNNET.default.html but even this fails to run. I get the following error message:

Error in UseMethod("panelNNET") :
no applicable method for 'panelNNET' applied to an object of class "c('double', 'numeric')"

Do you have any advice on how to rectify this?

Hi BenSeimon, I have encountered the same problem, how do you deal with it? Also, I found that the "prediction" function got the same issue.

Hi Charles,

Sorry to hear you had the same problem. Unfortunately, we didn't find a fix. Instead we used the python starter notebook, although the code is not nearly as comprehensive as what is provided in R. If you ever find a solution please do let me know.

Thanks for arising this post. I tried loading the library "PanelNNET" in R but I get the error message "Error in library(cranedroesch/panelNNET) : 'package' must be of length 1"

even though I used this to load the library

install.packages("remotes")
remotes::install_github("cranedroesch/panelNNET")
library(cranedroesch/panelNNET)

Did you able to run this library through python?

Hey Sharifah,

It was quite a while ago so I don't have a perfect memory! But yes, there is a starter notebook available here - https://github.com/cranedroesch/SNN_python. It's not as extensive as the R package though (and much more manual since it's not an actual package but just functions). Hope that helps!
