Plugin generated PDFs

Currently only way to have pdf is to define it using control panel. It would be useful if some PDF options could be "hard-coded" into system by plugins.
Example use: parcel label generation by shipping service integration plugin.

Hey, can you please tell me if it is something that might be added to the next versions of Commerce? I need such functionality for my shipping service integration plugin.
