How to decode tx string returned from /unconfirmed_txs

Hi, someone told that I need to decode string returned from /unconfirmed_txs via protobuf the same way as the server does. Can someone please point me to the server source code that is doing the decoding. I see /tx/decode can also do that but I have no idea where its source code is.

Txs in /unconfirmed_txs are an array of Base64-encoded blobs.

1. Base64 deocde
2. Unmarshal the bytes resulting from step (1) using the application's codec into the appropriate type
