Hello, ghost from Christmas past here ;)

The project lost all its GitHub stars a while ago, and I wanted to gauge interest level in this project at this point. Please upvote which comment represent yourself, of making a new one.

I have some big PRs that were in flight, when I stopped working on this project. The most important one probably is a massive refactor that greatly simplified the code. If there was enough interest, I might start looking into things again.

I’m reaching out because, judging by the commit history, you’re the most active contributor. I don’t expect you to have all the answers, but maybe you could point me to the right direction:

• Maintenance – Is the project currently maintained by anyone at Confluent, or is it fully community‑driven?
• Releases – How are release cycles handled? Are they managed by the project maintainers?
• Roadmap / Contribution – Is there an up‑to‑date roadmap or list of areas where new contributors could add value? You also mentioned some “big in‑flight PRs”, is there a way to help with those?

No pressure—just trying to see where things stand and how I might contribute.
