But are you aware that the thing simply can't do anything without Snapcast and co? So it can't even play music on the local device. My feature request is one of the most voted but the dev's don't do anything with it. |

Playing on my local device would be cool, but I definitely find it useful when I have a house full of google speakers and several different music services I use |

Won't work for my use case. I need music assistant to be running on my IoT vlan, and home assistant doesn't allow you to specify which interface an add-on uses |

Fair enough. It may also be worth putting that feature request in on the home/music assistant forums. I'm sure you're not the only person in the world that would appreciate being able to specify interfaces for HA add-ons. |

Bad news, the devs don't support our plan at all. It was treated rather negatively. To be honest, I had never received such a negative response to a request. Basically, the script was finished except the Airplay Support, but they didn't address my issue at all and just condemned everything. I don't see any future in it in terms of the whole contributor. Don't get mad at us, but I don't have the time or inclination to deal with it. We are removing the test script and rejecting musicassistant. |
