Similar to this "dockers", I would like to have a LXC container running a complete desktop.

This dose not work with LXC. This is talking about LXD. wich are a completly different thing.

From what I see, one doesn't need a VM to run GUI apps or DE in a unprivileged LXC container (dunno why OP referred to lxd guide)
What's more, there is a working helper script that runs Kodi !gui media center based on same codebase as this project (I've tested it and it works on pve8.4), and it outputs it's interface to host's display (not a rdp etc)

Proxmox forum has number of guides how to set up desktop environment manually with various flavors (without or with parts of X pkgs on the host)

While my request isn't RDP per se, it might be in the same vein as the OP?
You can indeed run an xserver in an LXC. It's tricky for sure though. This is the best documentation I've seen for it and it's quite old at this point:

I was able to get it to work, but I'm not well-versed enough to get something working to the point where I'd feel comfortable handing it off.
Here's how I went about doing it off of a modified ubuntu LXC from helper-scripts (please note, I'm sure there are a lot of passthrough devices I didn't need, I'm mostly throwing things at the wall and seeing what sticks):

This script would take a lot because it'd require the ability to handle passthrough for various VGA vendors, but it's also the thing I want the most right now as it'd let me run jellyfin and OpenWebUI containers while still being able to have a HTPC or gaming container.
