Allow adding an SSH key without setting a root password

I would prefer to be able to set an SSH key for the root user without setting its password. The idea is that I shouldn't ever have to log in interactively with a password, if I keep my SSH key safe.

It's a relatively common setup among cloud providers, and I prefer to set up my home lab machines that way, too.

Is so, then that could be done with an automated install answer file

No, I mean on an LXC container.

There was a recently added feature to add an SSH key to the root user: #858

this shouldn’t require the root password to be entered, but presently it does.

In my eyes, it's the better and safer to just SSH intro the Proxmox node and then use 'pct enter "LXCID"' to login intro the LXC.
So you can have SSH closed on the LXC's itself and less to maintain or setup.

This would essentially render the PVE web interface console useless, as you can't send a ssh key over console.

This would probably cause a fair bit of confusion and frustration for users... you maybe be better off just setting /sbin/nologin in the /etc/passwd file yourself after the deployment.
