Error when attempting to send a message in 6.2.0 #102

Describe the problem
When we upgraded from 6.1.1 to 6.2.0 we started hitting the issue seen in the screenshot.
The messages appear on every key stroke in the composer. Also cannot send a message.
What was the expected behavior?
No error when typing in the composer.
Reproduction
We just updated to 6.2.0 and it broke things. We are using React 19.1.1.

Development
NOTE: This did not seem to affect production.
