How do I display Internal Repositories that require authentication?

I have two queries on landscape

• Can I make it work on an Enterprise Github Instance?
• If yes, where do I configure the PAT to fetch the repo details?

If this feature is not available, it'd be great to have github_api_url and github_token exposed on settings.yml to fetch the details.

The GITHUB_API_URL is not exposed on the settings at the moment, but it's a constant in the source code. You could update it and give it a try.

Please see: https://github.com/cncf/landscape2?tab=readme-ov-file#data-collection-from-external-services for more details about how to provide the tokens. Note that the recommended scope (public_repo) won't be enough though.

Sure. I guess, the repository visibility would be rendered insignificant as long as the provided Token has the scope to fetch from internal repos too.

Build time. The landscape2 tool is a static site generator.

@tegioz How do I run the landscape2 serve with debug logging? I am debugging my changes. Though the site is static, I'd like to understand what happens when a card is clicked. I guess, the repo details are fetched real time by querying github/cruchbase?

I see this while building.

I assume, collection too is happening at the time of build? If yes, how do I see the low level function call tracing of the same?

We only pull data from GitHub/Crunchbase during the landscape build. You can inspect what's going when you click on something from your browser (network tab in developer tools).

The time diff between these two steps is too small which means nothing is getting collected. I'd like get the log output to catch the error during build phase.

GitHub and Crunchbase data is cached for a week, unless there are new repositories to process (and then only those will be processed). So that's something expected in subsequent builds. Feel free to add some trace calls in the github module if you'd like to get more details.

I highly doubt if the first collection happened as I don't see any repo details on the UI.

I had to also mutate the gh_client with the api url (not the hostname)
