Website can't connect to server after successfully installed the SSL

Hello,
I have finished to setup the pool, without SSL, tested it and fully working both mining client and the Website.
Everything was ok.
I have installed the SSL on my website, everything worked very well, I have my SSL working like charm, but now my website can't gather information from API. :)

From my experience, if you have SSL, your website can connect only with other SSL connections.
I think my problem is in the website config file and I can't find out what is wrong.
I'm pretty sure that the API isn't SSL secured so my website can't connect to it to show all the network information on the homepage.

Can somebody tell me how to config the website properly?

In the config, there is an option to enable ssl, and set the cert info. You can set it there and change the api var in https://github.com/clintar/cryptonote-universal-pool/blob/master/website-sample/config.js
