Description

Publish a clear, high-level non-technical blog post answering the question: Can CKAN handle non-tabular data formats (e.g. PDFs, shapefiles, APIs, images)?

Why we're writing this

• In recent POSE meetings, there have been uncertainty among some users around CKAN’s capabilities beyond tabular data. This shows a need for clearer communication around what CKAN supports out of the box and what’s possible with extensions.
• The post will help align understanding, reduce confusion, and support CKAN’s positioning as a format-agnostic data management system.
