Too much data in pie chart - prevent labels from overflowing

Hey guys n gals,

I have a pie chart with normal labels and "on pie" labels. I am scared that in prod that the labels will overflow, stick in eachother, etc...

See a picture of a grately exaggerated case which I made my self

what would be my best guesses to mitigate these problems...
