Difference between drawOnChartArea and display?

This covers options.scales[scaleId].grid.

Is there any functional difference between the two? I was under the assumption that drawOnChartArea affects the chart area but does not impact the drawBorder property. If you wanted both gone, you either set them individually or use the display property to hide everything.

I group two y-axes, and in my tests I couldn't not immediately see any behavioral differences between drawOnChartArea and display, when to use what?

@famschopman afaik the drawOnChartArea option enables or disables the drawing on chart area (the lines) but the ticks are not touched by this option because they are out of chart area. With display option, the ticks are touched as well.
