chart.js v3 - how to set maxTicksLimit for time scales

I'm going through a migration process from version 2.x to 3.6.
Previously in version 2 I was able to set maxTicksLimit for time scales.
In version 3 I get a compiler error and it seems like maxTicksLimit is not supported for time scales. It's only supported for LinearScaleOptions and RadialLinearScaleOptions scales.

Is there a way to limit the number of ticks for time and category scales?

            autoSkip: true
            maxTicksLimit: 10

     }

Types of property 'ticks' are incompatible.
Type '{ major: { enabled: true; }; autoSkip: true; maxTicksLimit: number; }' is not assignable to type '_DeepPartialObject<TickOptions & { sampleSize: number; align: "start" | "end" | "center"; autoSkip: boolean; autoSkipPadding: number; crossAlign: "center" | "near" | "far"; includeBounds: boolean; ... 4 more ...; padding: number; } & { ...; }>'.
Object literal may only specify known properties, and 'maxTicksLimit' does not exist in type '_DeepPartialObject<TickOptions & { sampleSize: number; align: "start" | "end" | "center"; autoSkip: boolean; autoSkipPadding: number; crossAlign: "center" | "near" | "far"; includeBounds: boolean; ... 4 more ...; padding: number; } & { ...; }>'.

This will have to be added to the typings file so this will be fixed before next release, (I should have time tonight to fix it)

Great. Just confirming- will your change also fix it for the Category scale as well?
