Code filtering?

Hello,

I've only started using QualCoder recently so this may be a feature I have simply not found or one that does not exist yet.
Is there a way to filter my codes, especially by files and/or cases? So I would see only the codes from a selected file or files and then be able to review, sort, and on from there or continue coding only seeing a list from selected files and not the whole project list. For example it could be a similar functionality to 'show codes like' but instead of a keyword it reacted to a file/case name.

I am aware of the similar function in coding reports, but the list there is non-actionable.

Additionally, is there a way to generate a report, that would, kind of like a codebook, only contain the codes, but sorted by files or cases instead of categories?

Lastly, is there a way to select multiple codes to perform an action with all of the selected files (e.g move into category or change colour)? This would be expecially useful in the code analyser.

Hi, I' m glad you are enjoying using QualCoder.
For the first question - no there is not an option to show codes that have been used in one file or case. I could try to add something like that.

For the code book by files. I am currently working on a Code comparison table, which can export something like that you ask for.:

Selecting multiple codes in the Code organiser. At the moment that is a hard thing to implement graphically, at the moment.

Thank you so much for such a swift reply! The table looks pretty neat and as an export I can see being able to sort or filter out the codes as needed.

Thanks. I am still working on this. the next step is to add an option to select an attribute. To show files grouped by, male / female, for example.
The Excel details sheet can look untidy, select all and format cells to wrapped text.
