MAC address instead of IP?

One issue I struggle with is node-red does not know when the device connected to an ip address has changed. This leads to unpredictable behaviors. It would be amazing if instead of connecting to an IP address, we could connect to the mac address. That way, the device would never change, even if the IP address did. Thank you for this great interface! I have half my house on it.

That's not really a limitation of this library, since this just uses https://github.com/plasticrake/tplink-smarthome-api under the hood. And that library uses UDP to communicate with the devices, which is inherently not for using the MAC address.

Personally, I just give my Kasa plugs static IPs, assigned by my router.
