How can i use the version 1.40.0 in ubuntu 24.04 ?

First install latest stable Rust if you don't have it already, then you could get just 1.40.0 by running

cargo install --locked just

(This will compile just from source code.)

Edit: If you prefer to use a precompiled binary, you can download the tarball for your hardware's architecture from https://github.com/casey/just/releases/tag/1.40.0
