Clear search input causes unnecessary re-render the list of layers

The (x) clear button has to be shown only when search input field filled with some string otherwise why to clear an empty field in this case?!

Noticed that when user clicks the clear button the list of layers rerenders again like a refresh button, expected only to render the list if there is some value has changed otherwise no need to rerender an existing list
