What's the best/right way to notify via custom local script?

Title. If my script is on same machine as apprise should I still use API? Or can I somehow directly call script?

Details:

In addition to

mailto://user:pass@example.com?to=receivingAddress@example.com
discord://webhook_id/webhook_token
etc
...

I want to be able to notify via my custom script, something like

myscript.py?t={{watch_tag}}&d={{diff}}

Or

myscript://watch_tag/diff

(watch_tag and diff are changedetection.io tokens (that uses your library))

Or do I need to set up local server and do something like

form://localserver/myscript/watch_tag/diff
