Hi! The problem your working on is probably the most important one in existence right now - we need actual software (not websites/SaaS from profiteering corporations) for people to be able to connect with each other and their communities.

I see that you are building with PHP - any reason for this? phpBB was great and represents an era of the internet that not only is nostalgic but also represents a more genuine use of the internet. However, it seems to be an outdated language.

I'm building this in PHP because it's the language I'm most adept in. I use PHP and Symfony every day, so I'm very comfortable writing in it. PHP has come a long way in recent years. It behaves like a real programming language in a lot of ways now, with type declarations and everything! :P It might surprise you.

I appreciate you stopping by to check out this project and dropping me some feedback. It's good to know there are others out there who may be interested in using it. I also happen to think it's important, which is why I work on this every weekend, even if you don't see a new commit.
