Running the Demo on my own environment

I've git cloned the whole repo onto my desktop and want to play around with the demo on my personal workstation as I'm a fairly new developer still trying to learn all it's features and code. I haven't had success in creating a live server for it as every time I try to run npm run start / npm run build:demo it returns the error message below. Any help would be a greatly appreciated! (I see that there's already 3 webpack files that came along with the files but I can't seem to figure it out)

It sounds like you need to run npm install (if you haven't already). This is a common first step for Node projects.

Try npm i --legacy-peer-deps or npm i --force.

I was able to receive this message in the terminal after I npm i --force but there wasn't an available localhost for me to open up. This was the new message in the terminal.

npm start (not npm run build:demo) is what will run a server on localhost to connect to.
