Add a limit to the length of attribute values in the yaml file or not necessary

Should we specify a limit to the length of string values for each attribute in the yaml file ?
objectives: protect backend service
comment: it could be difficult perhaps to define a common value for all countries . Or should it be a decision for each MNO regarding their backend infrastructure to manage this.

For example:

       givenName:
          type: string
           description: First/given name or compound first/given name of the customer.
           minLength: 1
           maxLength: 100
