Hi @abd-abhisek the onboarding tracker has been created, I have put him as API owner, but I don't know if they are going to manage it like that or if you have to include someone new, so they can start with the tracker.

I'm aware that you named your proposal "Multi Point VPN", in three words, which resulted in the repository name MultiPointVPN (in upper camel case).

But triggered through the mailing list name which @eharrison24 has created (sp-multipoint-vpn, multipoint in one word, implying no space, no hyphen) I've done a short research for the most widely used form:

Variant	Correctness / Usage
multipoint VPN	Correct, standard, widely used
multi-point VPN	Less common, occasionally seen
multi point VPN	Not standard, not used in official sources

At least Cisco and Juniper are using the term "Multipoint VPN". And there is https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dynamic_Multipoint_Virtual_Private_Network

Have you chosen the "Multi Point VPN" by purpose to differentiate from the existing technology or would it make sense to change now to the widely used term "Multipoint VPN" and rename the repository accordingly to MultipointVPN instead of MultiPointVPN?

Hello Herbert, Hello all Great question. Honestly, we didn't put to differentiate us from Cisco DMVPN. But our thought process was little more flexible on top of hub-spoke kind of connectivity. We see Multi Point VPN (the space we accidentally put) as an overlay service on top of a polyglot network, where underlying technologies can vary but still dynamic tunneling is possible without pre-configured static endpoints. In a way, what Cisco offers is a network technology (the way I read it), we envisioned it as a service capability and can be adopted by other cloud providers as well. So, in this context, I feel "MultiPointVPN" is more appropriate, instead of "MultipointVPN". However, open to hear back your views.

@abd-abhisek I'm fine with both options, also if you try to establish a new term in the industry which such subtle difference in the spelling :-)

I just would then align the mailing list name as well (multi-point-vpn instead multipoint-vpn) and insist that you always use only MultiPointVPN, Multi Point VPN, or multi-point-vpn, even if your spellchecker is crying ;-)
