I see is some MDNS requests to find qz-iphone and qz-ipad and QZ answers
itself. No further announcements. Not even when MyWhoosh is scanning
(appleTV and Windows with direct connection tested).
My sons OS18 phone seems to work fine. What to look for here ?

Just tested with zoffline, and it detects it fine. Thus the problem is with MyWhoosh. Found out that the problem is the Bonjour.DLL getting blocked on WIndows 11. MyWhoosh is dependent on that. Zwift likely has it built-in, possible their own MDNS code. Blocked from loading into the local LSA. Thus the problem is client side, not server (QZ) side. This is why my son's Mac would see it, and not my Win11. See here: https://audiosex.pro/threads/bonjour-service-on-windows-11.79955/ |

Got MyWhoosh to do the DNS queries by installing Bonjour Printer stuff. Then MyWhoosh does a lookup on: same name, but includes the two Answers (MDNS again, not towards QZ) But not repeating rest of the data. And not getting an answer again. So I think there is some missing answer / different protocol here. Does not explain why it works on MacOS, unless it is a Bonjour problem |

If you have some ideas how to try different thing I would love to create a
branch for this
Let me know! But do you think it's still about the new beta ios? I don't
think so, do you?

Now is queries: "_wahoo-fitness-tnp._tcp.local" - Gets 2 PTR records back
(like Zwift).

(MDNS again, not towards QZ)
_wahoo-fitness-tnp._tcp.local: type PTR, class IN, Wahoo KICKR
0000._wahoo-fitness-tnp._tcp.local
_wahoo-fitness-tnp._tcp.local: type PTR, class IN, Wahoo
HRM._wahoo-fitness-tnp._tcp.local

Don’t think it is iOS 26. But just got my trainer. And it works with Mac/iOS18. I think it is a windows issue. And TV-os. It can’t see the WiFi either in mywhoosh. Have to look at traffic there as well and compare to Mac MywhooshSendt fra min iPhoneDen 10. aug. 2025 kl. 06.09 skrev Roberto Viola ***@***.***>:

On developer beta 5 I don't get a WiFi Kickr I can connect to. All
I see is some MDNS requests to find qz-iphone and qz-ipad and QZ answers itself. No further announcements. Not even when MyWhoosh is scanning (appleTV and Windows with direct connection tested).
My sons OS18 phone seems to work fine. What to look for here ?
