Use of external libraries in wasm-modules

Hi,
Is there any other procedure to implement external library's functions in our wasm module other than creating wrappers of those function and linking with native-lib as mentioned. So that it doesn't give "Exception: failed to call unlinked import function (env, FUNCTION_NAME) " error.
Please suggest/discuss all the possibilities here.
