Is the broker alive?

I want to integrate rumqttd into our project, but it doesn't seem actively developed, nor PRs seem to be merged or even looked at. What's the state of the project?

This opensource version is in maintenance mode. There's very active internal work going on for the nextgen update but unfortunately we won't have the bandwidth to release and maintain it yet. Hoping to release in September
