This is a placeholder for a future issue that will create documentation in an attempt to describe how the current synchronization process works. Additional background information is that this discussion stems from a few Slack conversations that occurred within the #buddypress channel on or about March 7, 2025:

The current process requires a BuddyPress Team member (syncmaster) to run 2 scripts via cron jobs on their local server:

• Sync buddypress.svn.wordpress.org to GitHub
• Sync from buddypress.svn.wordpress.org to w.org plugins svn, for updated strings in trunk
  

The current syncmaster is @boonebgorges and has conveyed that the cron schedule as:

• The GitHub script runs every 2 minutes
• The w.org sync runs at 3am every Wednesday.

Additionally, this discussion may lead to a different process/method in the future. However, the current goal is to document this process for historical purposes.
