Tasks with notes issues.

Questions:

1. why are the note separators causing issues?
2. what would be an acceptable separator line?

Details:

The problem appears to be that TickTickSync is using:

- [ ] TODO with inline field with \%% #abc %%[abc:: askdfjalsd]%% ⏫ 📅 2026-06-25 
  -------------------------------------------------------------
  asdkfjlasd
  -------------------------------------------------------------

(Two spaces and a line of dashes as a note separator.)

Which results in:

[holroy]

A line of three or more dashes is considered as a horizontal line, or when directly following a line of text as a header. This is not an issue with Dataview, but rather just the way markdown renders.

To avoid it messing up your task follow the markdown standard and add a blank line after the task.

[TN-L]

I have discovered that using %%%-%% as a separator does not introduce a new line before the task in Dataview nor does it disrupt the task’s text.

However, it does add an empty line after each task. This can be fixed by adding an empty line inside the separators for tasks with an empty description. This issue does not arise if the task has a subtask as it's first item inside the description.
