tasks with inline backlink

hi all,
im trying to have a dataview or dataviewjs query for tasks where its possible to see the check-list box and the backlink in the same line.
the normal/default way is to show the backlink as a title and then the tasks. what im looking for is displaying the task and the backlink in the same sentance.
i tried a couple of thinks to no avail.

any ideas?

What do you mean with backlink in this context?

Can you achieve what you want with rebuilding g the display line using FLATTEN ... as visual which will replace the task text with whatever you write instead of ...?

You're missing the very vital part of as visual at the end of that line. Try that, and you'll see the difference.

Mine is as shown above with the as visual at the end. If you use four backticks around your code blocks you can also show the ```dataview part in your examples/responses.

it works now!!!
i was missing the "as visual" at the end, just like you said.
i didnt know that the "visual" keyword is specific i tried it with "test" or "link".
how did you know of this? i looked at the documentation and i couldn't see the "as visual" or "as text"
is it from the "metadata on tasks and lists" because not all of the fields in the table change the output of the query.
so far only "visual" ,"text" ,"status" did something

You can find references to visual on the implicit fields section on metadata, but it's kind of a hidden secret.

I've used it to rephrase tasks, clean up the task text to remove other fields, icons, links, and so on, or to add links like you asked for, or even for simpler styling of the tasks as you could add <span> element(s) around bits and pieces of the text.
