Description
The last update to swarm
was in 2019; since then it looks like several issues and PRs have stalled.
There are a few companies that have forked swarm
for their own use, all of which are only ahead by several commits: https://useful-forks.github.io/?repo=bitwalker/swarm
Has development paused in favor of some other successor library or project? (EDIT: Maybe horde?) Were there any wider ecosystem changes that have led to swarm
development being put on hiatus indefinitely?
I noticed that Paul's website is also down/broken (EDIT: adding /index.html made the page work, though his last blog post was in 2018) and he hasn't posted on Twitter in a few years, though he's got pretty recent GH contributions on his profile. Paul, I hope you're okay and doing well! Unrelated, but if you set up GitHub sponsors I'd love to sponsor you. 😄
Note: I fully understand how difficult maintaining an open-source project is and that priorities change and life happens. I mean no ill will with my question. I just wanted to check in and see how the project was doing and if there's anything I can do to help I'd love to assist!
