Deleted events won't get removed in synced calender

I have a subscription for an icloud calender and synchronisation (icsx5+Etar) works without problems it seems, but when an event gets deleted in the source calender it won't get removed in my calender.
Is this intended/not possible or a bug?

Works fine here. Deletions - like any other update - are not synhronized instantenously upon server side changes, but based on the set interval in ICSx5. Did you set the sync interval to "Only manually"? Try changing the interval.

No, I set the interval to daily.
Maybe I can narrow it down: I compared source and my copy of the calender again and it seems the non-disappearing events are recurring. Single events get deleted.
There is a chance, that this non-disappearing recurring event got altered (times changed), but made a duplicate in my copy.

I feel you. :) Probably not the interval at fault then.

Which calendar server provides the ics? Can give us concrete steps to reproduce the problem? Something like:

1. Login to web interface of calendar provider xyz (Nextcloud, mailbox.org, etc)
2. Create calendar with recurring event
3. Share as public/protected ics and sync with ICSx5
4. Delete some event / Change time of one event istance of the recurring event in the webinterface
5. Do some other funny things ...
6. Sync again in ICSx5 and see whether the event is not being deleted.

If we can reproduce it ourselves we will be able to help you out.

You can also try checking the ics file yourself by inserting the URL/calendar address in a webbrowser and downloading the ics file before and after editing/deleting the event. You should see the before/after change in the ics file. After editing/deletion the ics file should still contain the recurring event definition and then also an exception event definition which specifies the edit/deletion from the recurrence.

As i mentioned in my first post the server provider is icloud, so it's Apple?
A friend uses and manages the calender mostly over the calender app of an iphone.
I took the phone and did some testing. I created 4 events:

1. Test single - to delete
2. Test single - to edit
3. Test recurring - to delete
4. Test recurring - to edit

First I created the events - then I did a manual sync
Second deleted or edited events - manual sync
Third deleted the remaining events too - manual sync

What should I say, every sync was successful.
Even the old events, which never got deleted, where gone.
So is the automatic sync somehow "lazy" or faulty?
I noticed that the first sync took nearly 20-30 seconds, as if there where many things to correct, compared to the second and third one, which took only around 5 seconds.

Maybe the sync worker did not run because of low battery, missing internet connection or other reason.

What should I say, every sync was successful.
