Consider adding a 'mark as read' and/or 'hide' shortcut

HN has a handy 'hide' for stories you just won't care about.

This is handy throughout the day for not reading the same lines 5 times...

A mark as read or hide function would be great, tied up to a key shortcut.

Is this intended to persist across program launches or limited to the individual runtime session ?
