Asset in container not found

Hey Ben - touch on this the other week but when I try to call an SVG asset out of a container, the svg addon is saying the asset isn't found.

It definitely exists though because outputting from an asset tag is fine and also {{ icon | output }} works to output the svg as well.

While {{ icon | output }} works, I'd like to be more explicit about the class that's being attached without targetting the SVG specifically in CSS.

Appreciate any insight.

What's the path for icon? I can't seem to reference assets in the theme directory.
