Scanning the QR is not linking the device, its showing network error on phone.

Without a concrete error message it's hard to figure out what's going on. But a network error indicates either a issue on your side or the Signal Server is temporarily not available.

Just trying to register home assistant on my current signal number and get invalid response from server on the phone.

QR code was generated in ha terminal using
curl -X GET -H "Content-Type: application/json" 'http://127.0.0.1:8234/v1/qrcodelink?device_name=HomeAssistant' --output config/signal.jpg

then jpg copied to local computer using StudioCode Server Add-On.

Scanned with phone using signal 7.75 (990) on iPhone

Had the same issue.
I opened the QR Code in my browser and had to force refresh (Google Chrome CTRL+F5) to get a new QR Code.
The new QR code worked.

created tunnel from desktop to home assistant

ssh -Nv -L 8234:127.0.0.1:8234 homeassistant.local

then called http://127.0.0.1:8234/v1/qrcodelink?device_name=HomeAssistant to get QR code

tried multiple times with no luck

changed url to

http://127.0.0.1:8234/v1/qrcodelink?device_name=home-assistant

then I got one step further where I had to finish setup on other device.

This will fail if the same number has already been registered before.

After deleting the add-on configuration I was able to link the device
