Upload media to S3 Bucket using AWS SDK V3 not working - region error

I am using the following versions:
"@aws-sdk/s3-request-presigner": "^3.449.0"
"@aws-sdk/client-s3": "^3.449.0"

this is my code:

  I am getting the following error: 
  `A region must be set when sending requests to S3.` Despite setting the region. When I logged it ( console.log("Region: ", s3Client.config.region), this is what I get: `Region: [AsyncFunction: runtimeConfigRegion]`
