How to triage issues effectively as an outside to the project

How can we improve?

Each Powertools for AWS Lambda project should have a section on what is expected of maintainers to effectively triage new issues. Using the documentation, a maintainer should be able to triage issues without prior knowledge of the project, this would include things such as:

  • What is expected to be contained in an issue
  • How to test any sample code provided in the issue
  • How to determine if an issue is a critical issue and needs immediate follow up or action from a maintainer

This runbook would exist in the public documentation serving two purposes 1/ triage workflow for outsiders, and 2/ allow others know how to effectively create issues & how their issue will be handled
