Timeout when trying to create a Curation

When I try to make a curation from an uploaded image I get the following error:

Fatal error: Maximum execution time of 30+2 seconds exceeded (terminated) in /path/to/project/vendor/intervention/image/src/Intervention/Image/AbstractDecoder.php on line 81

I can upload images and they are in the public/storage/media directory. But for some reason whenever I try to make a curation there's a timeout.

Difficult to say. It shouldn't take 32 seconds for intervention to process an image unless the original is really large for some reason. Either way it sounds like a server issue and not a plugin issue.

I think GD or Imagick are the culprits here. Since I don't think I even installed them (pretty new to PHP sorry). I'll try to add them somehow and then test this again.
If not, then I'll create a minimum example that can be reproduced.

Hey Adam, I have trouble installing Imagick as a PHP extension locally and when trying to install it in a Docker environment. It looks like Imagick does not work with php-fpm:8.3.11. So I had to downgrade tophp-fpm:8.1.11 but then I get some weird Laravel error saying: Call to undefined method ReflectionFunction::isAnonymous()

If you have any tips or examples, I'd love to see them.

Laravel 12 doesn't support php 8.1 if I remember correctly. I'm surprised the server doesn't have GD by default though. I haven't used docker much so I'm afraid I won't be of much help there.

Cool. Yeah I installed the Latest Laravel version and now I'm paying the price 😆
I installed imagick locally as a php extension but still I am having the timeouts.
I'll see what else I can do and keep the discussion updated.

BTW If you're really curious just fire up Laravel 12 and Filament 3, install the Curator plugin and try to make a curation.
My PHP version is 8.3.12, I just used a postgres container to have a DB and that's it.

Could be something with Postgres. But I'm not sure. My curator demo is working correctly.
