Still since you probably dont need advanced HDMI2.0 nor HDCP nor HDR features for RetroPi then even cheap $20 ms2131 based grabber with internal splitter may be enough, but I dont know details of your setup. |

I'm building a diy arcade, and want to use Hyper to light up the back cabinet. I use this program on my main TV (using a USB grabber) and amazed how well it looks.
Is it possible to just grab the internal video, without spitting the hdmi out and grabbing it back with a usb dongle? I tried the Software Screen Capture which only grabs the Terminal kernel text, and not when the RetroPie program actually runs (in KMS).
