Cant create LED layout with a gap in top left, bug or feature?

Have made an ambilight using 2 strips starting from middle bottom and both ending middle top. i assumed you used a seperate instance for each side and i can setup the left side as in instance but when i setup the right side it wont allow me to have a gap on the top left side and fils this with unwanted LEDs.

When using the recommended multi-segment configuration with HyperSPI, HyperSerialESP32, HyperSerialPico, etc. in HyperHDR, there is only one continuous segment and one instance as instructed in the wiki or blog.
