Open AD Kit - New documentation 2025

Open AD Kit have changed rapidly since the last year, so to have a proper documentation that's aligned with new components and approaches that we are using within the containers became essential. To alleviate this problem i would like to propose a new and clear structure around Open AD Kit documentation.

Here are the steps that would be taken according to this draft proposal:

1- Removal of past Open AD Kit documentation versions since they became obsolote

2- Release of the first version of the documentation that includes:

• Open AD Kit (re-)introduction
• How to use containers on runtime for Quick-Start
• How to use Open AD Kit tools to have Distributed deployments with visualizer, simulator, bridge containers
• How to configure containers to change different deployment setups
• How to use containers for development purposes, using as devcontainer within VScode and as a stand-alone container
• Open AD Kit Roadmap for 2025

3- Refine other existing documentation according to the new documentation

• Autoware Installation
• Autoware Docker repo

4- Second version that includes:

• How to run Autoware with multi-container setup by using component containers:
  - sensing-perception
  - planning-control
  - localization-mapping
  - vehicle-system
• Configuration guidelines to configure and fine-tune component containers to meet expected functionality
