Configuring blur/unblur animation speed

There is currently a setting to have the status bar unblur itself when a window is in contact with it. Would it be possible to add a setting so that the user can configure the animation speed? The blurring animation on my machine is significantly slower than the unblur animation, and I would love to be able to control both directly like in the hide top bar extension.
