Loading projects images lose coordinates and scale.

I have created a template for making quick youtube shorts.  It has images as placeholders.  When I load the project the images are not in the correct location or correct scale.  The controls for x,y and scale have the correct value, but only if I touch it does the image jump to the correct scale/position.
